I must confess, I’m still working on developing a schedule for these blogs. Especially with the hectic and chaotic nature of my personal schedule.
A schedule made even more hectic and chaotic with the impending release of my first full-length poetry collection, Crossroads. It’s kind of confusing because Crossroads is the first book I wrote. It is not the first one I published though.
Nevertheless, the #countdowntocrossroads has begun. Well, technically it’s been happening a while now. However, we’re almost in the midnight hour. Literal days left until books are in readers’ hands.
I’m a mess. Ecstatic, anxious, lightheaded even. Essentially, I’m sick. Torn between the excitement of another release and the nervousness of its reception. Suffice it to say I’m a bit of a wreck.
I promise I’m good though y’all. It’s not like I’m just on my website’s homepage watching the timer count down. That would be obsessive and unhealthy. I would never do that. Okay, maybe I would. Maybe next week. Check back in to see if I’ve lost my mind. Regardless, this is an exciting time for me, and I’m excited to share it all with you.
I’d love to talk about the process of writing and getting Crossroads published. Let me know if that would be of interest. These blogs are as much an opportunity to explore and unleash for me, as it is an opportunity to gain knowledge and insight for you. This is a safe commune, the only thing we gatekeep here is intellectual property.
The countdown to Crossroads is here.
